As Google celebrates the 100th birthday of Disney artist, Mary Blair, in today's doodle we are reminded of her love of wearing coloured contact lenses.
It is perhaps not surprising as she loved big, bright, bold colours and wanted to express this in every way possible, so did so through her eyes.
Wearing coloured contact lenses is a great way to express yourself and these days Ms Blair may even have invested in some funky, crazy contact lenses as advances have moved on since her day.
In what has been a quiet month for Google doodles it is good to see the woman who painted the 90ft mural which creates a centrepiece for the Disney Hotel and illustrated several children's books represented.
Since Halloween is fast approaching many people will decide to follow in Ms Blair's footsteps and make coloured contact lenses an integral part of their costumes.
People are reminded of the importance of getting their contact lenses from a reputable source, as eyes are a very sensitive part of the body.
