Coloured contact lens film of the year gets fresh pics

Vampire characters' eyes seem to have taken on that extra something that (in life, at least) only coloured contacts can offer in some of the freshly published pics that Entertainment Weekly has offered up.

They show scenes of the upcoming movie Breaking Dawn Part 2, based on Stephenie Meyer's novel.

Coloured contact lenses also appear to be adding their magic to actress Kristen Stewart: The Bella Swan beauty's eyes have a very distinctive red hue on one of the posters for the film.

We know that Stewart – currently wowing cinema crowds in Snow White and The Huntsman – did don contacts to play her vampire self in Breaking Dawn Part 2.

As well as the Twilight films, her CV includes the likes of Adventureland, Panic Room and Into the Wild.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 stars Stewart alongside fellow coloured contact lens wearer Robert Pattinson (about to appear in Cosmopolis) as Edward and Taylor Lautner as Jacob.
